This illustration was part of my personal "inktober". I drew something Tudor themed, and using indian inks, every day in October '20 and September '21. 

The prompt was "Music".

Elizabeth I of England was the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. She was a keen musician and had many portraits of herself painted during her life, including miniatures! Miniature portraits were popular intimate gifts and personal treasures- think of them as 16th Century phone lock screens. I copied a piece by celebrated Elizabethan miniature artist Nicholas Hilliard.

Printed on white 148mm square (folded), recycled 350gsm heavy card, with a matte finish. Inside left blank for your message. Comes with it's own envelope.
