Tudor? I hardly know her! Greeting Card
Perfect for history lovers!
This illustration was part of my personal "inktober". I drew something Tudor themed, and using indian inks, every day in October '20 and September '21.
The prompt was "Mistress".
Mary Boleyn may have been the mistress of French King Francis I, and was a mistress of Henry VIII... yes, her sister's husband, awkward. After the death of Mary's first husband, she chose to marry below her rank, and without permission from her sister, the Queen. Mary and her new husband lived the rest of their lives in quiet obscurity, avoiding the dramatic fall of the Boleyn family. I copied a portrait of Mary by Remigius van Leemput.
Printed on white 148mm square (folded), recycled 350gsm heavy card, with a matte finish. Inside left blank for your message. Comes with it's own envelope.
