Black Lagoon Mural

Sakis at Black Lagoon Cocktail Bar in Kalymnos, Greece, wanted a blackboard for his customers leave their own messages and take fun photos of! 

My brief for the surrounding mural was: "tentacles, skulls and pineapples!"- And with an existing giant outdoor mural already in place, I knew that I wanted my piece to belong in the same universe, and be relevant to Kalymnos as a unique Greek island.

The giant octopus was a no- brainer, but making the head of the octopus  Telendos (an iconic view from Masouri) was a stroke of genius imparted on me by a local friend.

After discussing my initial sketches, the feedback was: "more death, more B- movie monsters!"- And so, the love story at the bottom of the mural was born!
