This illustration was part of my personal "inktober". I drew something Tudor themed, and using indian inks, every day in October '20 and September '21. 

The prompt was "Bloody".

Mary I of England was the daughter of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. She believed fiercely in her mother's religion and was against her father's reformation. She reigned for 5 years and in that time burned hundreds of protestants as heretics, gaining the nickname "Bloody Mary". I copied a portrait of Mary by Antonis Mor and added a spicy twist.

Printed on white 148mm square (folded), recycled 350gsm heavy card, with a matte finish. Inside left blank for your message. Comes with it's own envelope.
